ABOUT STARHAVEN RETREAT

 

Starhaven Retreat is a perfect start or finish to a trip along the Great Ocean Road, ideally located in Portarlington, Indented Head on the Bellarine Peninsula.

 

It's a Bed & Breakfast unlike any you have ever experienced,  all suites have private ensuites, tea and coffee making facilities, 3D LED flatscreen TV’s with your own choice of on-demand movies.  The games room with a range of board games, full-size billiard table and 58" 3D TV is bound to give hours of fun.

Relax in the spa area with jet stream swim spa and Sauna. Or simply enjoy a cocktail in the bar lounge adjacent to the "Star class 15-seat cinema with starlit ceiling, showing a different movie every night.

 

 

For the gourmet in you, a fully cooked breakfast is served daily, while you sit on the terrace pondering over the view and decide what you should do for the day.
 

There is so much to see and do on the Bellarine Peninsula and everything is within easy access from Starhaven Retreat. The many wineries including  Jack Rabbit, Terindah Estate, Scotchmans Hill and Bellerine Estate winery, just to name a few, offer wine tastings and local produce. You can enjoy lunch or dinner with stunning Bellarine views at most of them.

 

For the golf enthusiast there are several golf courses nearby with Portarlington’s 18 hole only minutes away from the retreat. The Portarlington Golf Club Bistro is a favourite in the area.

Charter a boat for superb fishing in and around the bay. Go Scuba diving on local ship wreck, the Ozone. Famous Queenscliff is a short 30 mins away with its many restaurants and quaint shops.

"WOW. Just home from the most relaxing short break at Starhaven Retreat. Ian and Rob (and Sparky) are incredible hosts - nothing was too much trouble. Their home is nothing but spectacular with massive windows and balconies that take in an incredible bay and city view. Extremely comfortable and with plenty of space for all guests - apparently they were fully booked, but we felt like were the only ones there. We came away with wonderful new friends! A definite must for anyone seeking style, comfort and wonderful hosts. We WILL be back."

I can only echo the positive comments from so many people that have stayed at Starhaven. It was really great from the guided tour with Rob and Sparky to the candlelight dinner on the balcony on a balmy night enhanced by Ian's great dinner. The accommodation was a real treat and so sophisticated in layout and technical toys! And even more enhancements on the way. Loved the infinity spa and our deck overlooking Indented Head. Thanks Ian and Rob and Sparky and the little cat for a great two nights.
